If you frequently visit social media pages you must have come across Gukena Fm at some point. It’s a Kikuyu varnacular radio station known for giving their fans classic mugithii songs.
Three days ago they posted renown Kikuyu Benga musicians Joyce Wa Mamaa and Joy Wa Macharia on their Facebook official page comparing them. They went ahead and asked their followers on whom among the two sings better than the other.
This raised mixed reactions from Kenyans where joy Wa Macharia has also commented on the post one hour ago. According to her, she said that Joyce is her big sister and she should be respected.
She went ahead and said Joyce is very far from her and she will never compare herself with her and they are not competing either. She concluded by saying that comparing musicians should end and they should let their fans enjoy what they will give them as musicians. What is your view on musicians comparison?
