Popular Tanzanian gospel singer, Rose Muhando, who recently shocked people by admitting that she was looking for a wealthy mzungu man is at it again. This time around she has come out to give her reasons.
In an interview with a Tanzanian blog, she stated that she desires a Mzungu who will spend money on her and not leave his fortune to dogs. She also wants the man to be wealthy so that she can get money to spread the gospel.
” Ndoa ni kujaliwa na sio kitu unaweza kukitafuta. . siwezi tafuta mwanaume ila nitamwambia Mungu (Marriage is by chance; I can’ t go around seeking for a man to settle down with, but by praying to God, He will send me one), ” she explained.
When asked why she only wants Mzungu men, she explained: ” Choice yangu. Sijaomba Mzungu juu ya ngozi, nimemwambia Mungu anipe Mzungu mwenye hela, Mzungu mwenye ngozi hasara, Mwenye pesa anipee hizo pesa nikahubiri injili. Sio akishazeeka anawapa mbwa hela (This is my decision. I don’ t want a mzungu just because he’ s fair- skinned; I want one who can help me financially. May God provide me with a wealthy Mzungu who will spend his money on me rather than on pets). ” She further explained.
Muhando claimed she was not going against the law by looking for a wealthy man. However, she is only seeking for a partner who matched her qualifications. She feels that everyone has their own taste. Rose’ s preference is for white guys, which is why she is desperate to find one.
