A 22 years old man from Sugoi was arrested after he was caught obtaining money from innocent Kenyans by impersonating deputy president Rigathi Gachagua. The man by the name Collins Kipleting Serem was arrested by detectives from directorate of criminal investigation.
The man who is said to be musician created a fake Facebook account bearing the name of the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua. He further obtained money from unsuspecting Kenyans, allegedly meant for feeding Kenyans affected by hunger. He also posted a pay bill number where Kenyans were supposed to sent their contribution.
The pay bill was connected to an account at Eldoret standard standard bank. The man appealed with his followers to contribute to those suffering from hunger and promised God will bless them abundantly. Detectives from the office of the president launched manhunt and arrested the man in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu county. This comes after deputy president appealed with Kenyans to contribute to those affected by drought.
