Renowned Kenyan You Tuber and content creator Diana Marua, who is wife to secular musician Bahati, has continued to trend on social media for wrong reasons.
Diana in one of her latest Instagram videos she appeared in her kitchen to critique her nanny over a meal she was preparing.
“This is what @irenenekesa31 has decided to prepare for dinner this Jamhuri Day. Crispy Egg French Fries accompanied with chicken wings,” she wrote.
However, netizens were quick to point out Diana’s outfit, a Balenciaga sweater. They flooded her comments section demanding to know why she had the sweater on, yet there is an ongoing worldwide campaign against the brand.
What netizens were left to wonder was whether the Nakulombotov hit maker was not informed about the brand’s woes or if she just chose to ignore it.
Balenciaga had recently received backlash due to the ongoing worldwide campaigns geared toward canceling the high-end brand. This is because it was found to do adverts with kids holding bondage teddy bear, the same brand that also did an advert with papers on top of their tables of a law that glorifies child p**nography.
It was forced to pull down their ad; the designer’s gift collection campaign, with the brand’s creative director Denma Gvasalia apologizing to the public shortly after, stating that the outcome of their campaign was never their intention.
Despite the apology, business mogul Kim Kardashian together with other celebrities worldwide pulled out from their partnership.
