“For sure music pays,” these were the exact words that Tanzanian singer Omary Mwanga alias Marioo said when he was asked about his new house that he flaunted on social media.
On Monday, 12 Dec 2022, Marioo took to social media and flaunted a new house. Outside the house were his two high-end cars.
He posted a picture of the house and later shared a video of the same house. Moments later, he become a topic of discussion on social media, with some Tanzanians saying the house is not his.
Celebrated journalist Millard Ayo reached out to Marioo and had an interview with him, and posed the same question, whether he owns the house or rented it.
The singer said he earning good money from his music career, which is the reason why he can afford to live in such a house, adding that even if the house is rented, it is only those with deep pockets who can afford its monthly rent.
