Kenyan content creators provided comical relief at the Nyayo Stadium during Jamhuri day celebrations. Based on the line up of comedians at Nyayo, it was clear that organizers did not have an exact agenda as to how all the content creators would work together to provide comic relief.
For instance, creators like Azziad Naisenya who are good at dancing and Mungai Eve who is a YouTuber, we’re made to run alongside the likes of Moji short baba who is a gospel artist. Comedians like Terrence Creative, Crazy Kennar, managed to bring about some comic relief out the race but if their objective was to prove how unfit Kenyan celebrities were, then they certainly hit the nail on the head.
One comedian who was involved in the Jamhuri day fete, summed the content creator’s act in one sentence by hinting that money was the driving factor in the entire ordeal. According to Sammy Kioko, him and his colleagues were in it for the money which is not a bad thing.
However, seeing as people have different talents, it may have been better to allow everyone to showcase what they were good at. “Hii Nairobi kitu yoyote inaleta pesa, tunafanya.” “I am now your favorite athlete.” Sammy Kioko said.
