In an exclusive interview with Tuko, Damaris Mwende, a mother of four, narrated how she caught her husband cheating in a club around their home.
“Ilikuwa siku moja jioni roho ikaniambia niende kwa club ambayo bwana yangu alikuwa anakunywa. Nilishangaa kumwona wakifanya kitu ya watu wazima msalani.” She said.
Damaris was so shocked by what she saw with her eyes. She could not believe it, which made her question the husband. The husband was so guilty.
The husband came to their home because she was so ashamed of herself. Damaris ignored her, but her husband kept asking for her forgiveness.
One day Damaris’ husband came at night. He was not sobbing. However, he asked Damaris why she could not forgive him, but Damaris ignored him.
The husband got angry and threw a burning stove at Damaris, which later burned her hands. Damaris yelled, and neighbors came to her rescue.
The husband was nowhere to be seen. The neighbors took Damaris to the hospital for urgent medication since her hands were burned.
The husband was caught by the police and arrested while the children were taken to the children’s home so that they could be well cared for.
Through Tuko, Damaris asks for assistance from the public since she needs urgent medical surgery after the fire damaged her internal skin’s structure.
