Renowned Kenyan musician Akothee deleted her controversial videos from her social media pages shortly after they went viral. The mother of five has been decorating headlines for the past few hours after she shared videos threatening to take legal action against bloggers who spread malicious reports about her.

The singer posted two videos that showed her extremely angry. In the videos, she is seen addressing the bloggers while holding a machete in her hand. She further extended the legal threat to critics who meddle in her family business. Shortly after the two videos went viral online and sparked a huge debate, they are now nowhere to be seen. It appears that Akothee decided to pull down the videos alongside the statement that she had written.

The videos had been accompanied by statements in which Akothee made her threat. In the statements, the singer claimed that most of the bloggers in the country are just cyberbullies.

“Kila mutu afuate mama yake alimzaa, beggers in the name of bloggers I am your guest, mapema ndio best… We don’t have bloggers in Kenya we have ciberbullies covered in the name of blogging . December is our month with you must clean you dry guogigi,” she wrote on her social media pages.

It remains unclear on what exactly pushed Akothee to delete the two videos. The videos had earned thousands of views and sparked a heated debate among her followers. Whereas there were those who sided with Akothee, there were also those who argued that she is a public figure and as such, it is normal for bloggers to cover stories surrounding her life.
