Last week, renowned philanthropist, emcee, and gospel singer Karangu Muraya was in Dubai for a short vacation. He jetted back to the country on Sunday and earlier today, he paid a visit to his close friend Benson Gathungu alias Mzee Kiengei or Pastor Ben.
Karangu brought gifts from Dubai which he handed over to his buddy Kiengei. Kiengei couldn’t keep calm after receiving the gifts which included designer perfumes.
He thanked Karangu for the treat and promised him that he will also return the favour if jets out of the country for a vacation. “Karangu Muraya, God bless you for remembering me. That is what a true friend does. I will also do the same,” he captioned the photos in his native language.
Fans flooded Kiengei’s timeline and admired his friendship with Karangu, terming them genuine friends.
Karangu and Kiengei have been friends for years. They have known each other since when they were struggling to make a breakthrough in the competitive Kikuyu entertainment industry.
Kiengei was among those who stood with Karangu and defended him from social media bullies after he was caught up in a recent scandal publicized by Facebook whistleblower Martha Mwihaki Hinga. The scandal saw him go live on Facebook and shed tears while accusing Martha Mwihaki of tainting his image.
