Popular Kikuyu musician Ngaruiya Junior received millions from his fans, colleagues in the entertainment industry, and politicians who graced his event on Sunday.

Kiambu Senator Karungo Thang’wa, Women Representative Ann Muratha, her Murang’a counterpart Betty Maina, Gilgil MP Martha Wangari, Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi were some of politicians who attended Ngaruiya’s ‘Kigooco Sunday’ edition held at Ruiru Stadium in Kiambu county.

Even though they were not present, Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome and area Governor Kimani Wamatangi sent their gifts to show appreciation for the role the musician played in Kenya Kwanza campaigns.

Wamatangi gave Ngaruiya Ksh100,000, a gift that was presented by Wamuratha. On her part, Wahome gifted the artist Ksh20,000 through Maina.

“The CS has just known now that Ngaruiya’s event is currently happening and has just sent Ksh20K. We are here to stand with this guy the way he stood with us as the Hustler Nation and helped us send Azimio home,” said the Murang’a county MP. Watch the VIDEO here (from 28:00 to 34:30).

Thang’wa gave Ksh50K, Maina 20K, Wangari 20K while the highest contributor of the day was Petanns Driving School that gave Ksh300,000.

Popular gospel and secular musicians, radio and TV presenters, and comedians entertained hundred of fans that attended the occasion.
