Kenya Kwanza Secretariat member Peter Mbae has revealed that President William Ruto started pursuing Kalonzo Musyoka as early as the first half of 2021.
Today, the Kenya Kwanza ally and secretariat member hon Peter Mbae while Speaking during TV47’s Morning Cafe show revealed that President William Ruto had Prioritised teaming up with Kalonzo Musyoka more that Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.
“We (Kenya Kwanza) were looking for Kalonzo Musyoka for a very long time. We started pursuing him as early as last year because we knew his value. Immediately before we inked the deal, Kalonzo jumped back to Azimio and so we said we can’t let the original National Super Alliance (NASA) remain the same and is when we went for Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to try to disorganise something,” Mbae said.
According to Ruto’s team, they believed that Kalonzo was the Ukambani kingpin and having him on their side was going to guarantee them a massive support from the lower Eastern region. Ruto even up to date has continued luring the WIPER leader to his camp with the latest remarks made over the week when Ruto attended the Thanksgiving prayer session in Kitui where he asked Kalonzo to team up with him.
“I told you when I was here that if God willing I become president, I would involve my brother Kalonzo in forming the government and I want you people to know that I personally looked for him and we had a sit-down and I asked him to work with me but he said he wanted to try it in the opposition,” Ruto said during a thanksgiving prayer session in Kitui.
