Kenya is getting urbanized at a faster pace as most of its towns are seen developing daily and this is attributed to the strategic location of the areas and business activities. The country has a total of four recognized cities that serve various services with Nairobi being the superior metropolitan area and capital of our republic. Nonetheless, other cities have been noticed advancing further thus becoming more sophisticated and attractive compared to other urban centers.

Today am going to take you briefly about Kisumu which is the third largest city in our nation. It is located in the Nyanza region of the country and it has a population of about 344,487 inhabitants who work in various sectors in the city. It has a port that handles cargo, moreover, it serves as a trading and transportation hub for the Great Lakes region in western Kenya.

It also serves as an educational center with many schools and training institutes that offers education to citizens within. Kisumu has a good road network and a railway line which has boosted trading activities and hence has spurred its growth. Below are some of its photos depicting its amazing appearance.
