Roy Smith Mwita popularly known by his stage name Rufftone is a Kenyan gospel musician,a graphic designer,and the founder of Lampstand Music record.
He started his music career as a secular artist in 1999 but later in 2001, gave his life to God and crossed over to gospel music.
Rufftone had joined the Buruburu institute of fine arts in Nairobi to pursue a diploma in graphic design but did not complete it because of his urge to do music.
Smith is a loving husband to Susan Njoki popularly known as Krystal.
The two were wedded in Holy Matrimony at the Kenya Assemblies of God, Nairobi in the year 2014.
Rufftone declared interest in the Nairobi senatorial seat back in November 2021, while in an interview with Mwalim Churchill.
The gospel star said that he had officially joined politics and was optimistic that he will be the next Nairobi Senator.
The award-winning artist joined the Ruto on his campaign trail in Nairobi on January 12, where he declared his support for Ruto and allegiance to UDA.
