Mary Linkon is a Kikuyu gospel musician and a social media influencer who is well grounded to be distracted by ney sayers. She is among Kenyan celebrities who have moved from grass to fame through hardwork and determination within the shortest period of time.
Some hours ago, she was live at reke ciume na ene show hosted by RC where she talked about her life journey to where she is today. She said that she was born in a family where her parents had given birth to twelve children making it a struggle to raise them.
After doing her KCSE, there was a hunger strike in Kenya which left their animals dying to a point she decided to move out of the village and find a new life elsewhere. She Ren away from home at a young age where she was employed as a house girl before her family decided to come for her.
From there she didn’t go back to the village but she was taken by her elder sister who works at Gikomba where she started her own salon after doing a short course and life began from there. When talking about how her music career started. She said it was a supernatural kind of a thing.
She was at a hotel with her daughter when she started crying with no reason and she could hear words coming through her mouth where she immediately went home. On reaching home she took a bible while still crying and within a span of a few hours she had written eight songs which she immediately released. Watch the full video below.
