Hannah Wanjiku from Naivasha has painfully narrated how she went through hell at the hands of her husband, he would insert a carrot in her private area to check if she had slept with another man while he was at work.
According to Hannah is that she didn’t go to school and she used to help her parents stay with the other siblings and do house chores as they were working, while at home she met a man who promised to be buying her food since they would go the whole day without food.
They started a romantic relationship and she got pregnant, when her parents knew about it they were angry and she was beaten, she natured her pregnancy until she gave birth. when the baby was only 6 months she was sent to go get milk at the shop and as she was coming back a man in their village kidnapped her and took her to his house.
He used to lock her in the house and threatened to kill her if she screamed for help, they went for days being locked in the house and she accepted to be his wife to get some freedom, his father went to her parent’s home and said that they had their daughter and they were given her clothes and the baby.
Hannah says that her husband was smoking bhang and every day he would beat her and sleep with her every day after she gave birth to her second born her husband told her that she should prepare to sire 13 kids with her and so every year she used to give birth.
She says that when her husband would go to work for days without coming back home when he comes back he would insert a carrot in her private area to check if she had slept with another woman which was a painful and shameful thing.
After seven in that marriage, she decided to quit the marriage after she left her husband with their last born and went to fetch water when she came back she found him in the kitchen and had slaughtered 12 chickens for supper, when she asked him where the baby was he kept quite only for her to find the baby full of blood from the nose and she rushed her the hospital where the doctors confirmed that she struggled.
She decided to pack her belongings and went back home with her seven kids she has been taking care of them all by herself and it’s not easy since she is unable to pay their school fees.
