Jane DeMathew, the firstborn daughter of the late Benga singer John Demathew, has taken to social media to commemorate 2 months since her son Victor Ngana died. Jane said her late son is still fresh in her memory and 2 months down the line, she is yet to come to terms with his sudden demise.
She remembers the day he passed on as if was yesterday. “It’s exactly two months since when you left me and I still feel the pain as if it was yesterday, I hate death,” she emotionally wrote on her Facebook page.
Fans flooded her timeline with encouraging messages and sympathized with her situation. They encouraged her to be strong and admitted that losing a child is painful and it may take time for her to heal.
Jane, a budding Mugithi musician, lost her 13-year-old son in August to a rare blood condition called polycythemia. The blood disorder causes the body to produce excess red blood cells, resulting in the overproduction of blood in the body.
Sadly, she lost her son at the time when she was commemorating her father’s demise. May Victor’s soul continue resting in peace.
