A renowned Member of the County Assembly (MCA) is the latest talk among his colleagues due to his insatiable appetite for an expensive lifestyle that is beyond his current means. This was recently evident when he pulled a stunt that left him very embarrassed.
Sources privy to this development have noted that the MCA was supposed to have an interview with reputable journalists. He too ages to confirm the location of the interview and when he did, he asked them to meet him at a luxury bar in town.
After the journalist arrived, he told them to seek permission from the management of that establishment before interviewing him. The manager refused to allow the interview to take place on his premise. The embarrassed MCA told the journalists that he had an alternative venue where he is sure they will agree since the owner is his friend.
They then headed to a posh hotel in the same town. When they got there, the newsmen asked for permission to conduct the interview but were denied as well. The humbled MCA took his team to a mid-level hotel, which also declined to allow interviews in their hotel.
The journalists were forced to cancel the interview after the MCA insisted to be interviewed in a flashy location that suit his status as an elected leader. Aggrieved reporters have since sworn never to seek this MCA for interviews again.
