Alongside his wife and three adorable kids, Arthur Johnson Sakaja attended his swearing in ceremony as the fourth governor of Nairobi County.
As the swearing in commenced, Sakaja was asked to step forward alongside his wife to read the oath and proceed to sign the required documents. The oath was as follows: “I Sakaja Arthur Johnson, do swear that I shall always truly and diligently serve the people and the Republic of Kenya in the office of Nairobi County. That I shall diligently discharge my duties amd perform my functions in the said office and that I shall do justice to all in accordance to the constitution and the laws of Kenya without fear, favour, affection or I’ll will so help me God.” With a heavy round of applause from the citizens, Sakaja proceeded to sign the oath of office in triplicate and certificate of inauguration triplicate and a commitment to the general leadership and integrity court. Followed by the judge signing commission of the same which concluded the event with Sakaja Officially the Fourth Governor Of Nairobi County.
Sakaja beat Polycarp Igathe in the Gubernatorial race for Nairobi County. President elect William Samoei Ruto also witnessed the event.
