Famous Senior Council, Ahmednasir Abdullahi who happens to be President-elect William Samoei Ruto’s key ally has now ignited mixed reactions on social media after reacting to the ongoing election petition at the Supreme Court.
Raila Odinga is set to legally challenge Dr William Ruto’s victory at the Apex Court in the coming days where the direction of the presidential race would finally be determined.
According to the Senior Council, the next election could be held in the year 2025 if the Supreme Court orders for a re-run. In a statement, Abdullahi has argued that the Azimio La Umoja chief leaders, Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta may not allow a re-run to be held within the stipulated 60 days after the Supreme Court’s verdict.
According to Ahmednasir, the duo will launch a fierce battle against the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati demanding that they do not preside over the said election (re-run) forcing the Commission to be reconstituted.
