A presiding officer identified as George Chege has been arrested in Nyandarua county, Mount Kenya region for failing to submit results from his polling station. The culprit didn’t submit results from Kianda primary school polling station in Ol Kalou despite the fact that he didn’t file the required forms after completing the voting exercise.

George Chege refusal to surrender the results for the Kianda Primary School polling centre has however not been well clarified. Nyandarua county returning Officer Nancy Wanjiku however said that investigations revealed that 292 voters had already cast their ballots but the presiding officer, Mr. George disappeared with the results.

Mr. George was supposed to file form 39A, for women representative post, something he didn’t attempt to. His arrest means that he will be arraigned in court over the matter.

Election officials found from Kiems kit that the voters who had casted their votes at Kianda primary school polling station didn’t get their records captured.
