Many may not have thought that he would emerge victorious in that seat that was fiercely contested for by different politicians who felt they had the right agendas and plans for the residents of Mathare North ward but gospel Singer Eko Dida just proved his doubters wrong as he seemingly just won the elections.The gospel artist who for a long time now has graced our television screens with wonderful gospel music has just won that seat after emerging first in the primary results that are already out.
Singer Eko Dida ventured into politics when he felt that the residents of his area needed a much more available leader who could listen to their pleas and give them the support they desperately needed.It is after Eko Dida did his research and much considerations that he found out that the current member of county assembly was not giving any support to his fellow residents that he decided to give it a try.Today 10th August 2022 Eko Dida may just have won a seat that he says will go a long way into improving the lives of residence of Mathare North ward.
Among the numerous things that Eko Dida has talked about improving include water and sanitation which he says has rendered Mathare North almost unhospitable while the chosen leaders have not acted upon improving the health conditions of that area.
Eko Dida has thanked his area residents for turning out in large numbers and voting in favour of him while assuring them that he will do effectively the duties that he is expected to undertake as a member of county assembly.
