Kikuyu gospel musician Mwago Dennis has been thrown into mourning following the death of his wife.
The sad news were broken on social media by the upcoming musician who disclosed that his wife identified as Waithira died on Friday evening.
“I wish I was dreaming, I wish I could wake you up one more time, I am lost, I am broken, I am terrified, I am hurt and deconstructed. Weve fought so hard in this journey. This is not what we deserved. Were you not going to bid us goodbye. What about this little children, what do I tell them, ndimeraga wathire ku waithira (what will tell them when they ask where did you go?). Rest well my wife. Its never a goodbye from me,” heart-broken Mwago posted on Facebook.
Musician Karangu Muraya, also known as Mr Wonderful, sent condolences to his colleague in the music and prayed God gives him strength during this difficult period.
“We may fail to understand what you are feeling, but may Jehovah comfort you my brother Mwago Dennis Favoured …may the soul of your lovely wife rest in eternal peace…..pole Sana bro,” he posted on Facebook.
Renowned gospel musician Mary Lincoln revealed that Waithira had been sick and had really struggled for life.
“Rest in peace girl haka kaschana haki kamefight kabisa….Rest in peace Waithîra,” said Lincoln, the wife to celebrated media personality Njogu wa Njoroge of Kayu FM.
Mwago started recording music a few years ago and some of his songs include Ututhamakire, Nuu Ungihota?, Kwi Muthenya, Ruo-ini Rwaku, Ngai Munumbuiya, Ni Tha Cia Ngai, Ndikurira Ringi and more.
His fans took to social media to empathize with the young musician following the demise of his wife.
“My sincere condolences and prayers to you and your family. May her soul rest in,” said Joy Kahoro.
“God help us to live our life to the fullest we came against premature death,” posted Martha Macharia.
