When you’re a celebrity on social media, there’s a good chance that at some point you’ll be a target for keyboard warriors.

Celebrities have it hardest of all. Can you imagine having millions of people you don’t know pouring into your social media mentions every single day and coming for you with the most vicious and specific insults they can come up with?

Last week, Felicity’s boyfriend, Thee Pluto found himself the target of internet trolls. Felicity had pranked Thee Pluto that she had crashed his car, CX5 on her YouTube channel dubbed ‘Felicity Shiru’. The prank went wrong and Thee Pluto was thrown into a snake pit by internet trolls who claimed he treated his girlfriend badly in the video.

In a question and answer segment on her Instastories a fan asked felicity why she pulled down the prank video,

“Why did you pull down your prank video on YouTube?”

In her defence Felicity Shiru stated that trolls can be so provoking hence she couldn’t help but fire back by pulling down the YouTube video,

“Sasa I was to sit down and watch some of you insult someone on my page juu ya video. Those in social media understand, it’s not usually easy getting trolled, whether you are guilty or not! ”

She went on to add that to avoid internet pressure one should focus on what is right by them by being your own self,

“After you go through it for the first time you just learn to be your own self always. You focus on what you know is right by you, you have your own independent thoughts. So whatever people say doesn’t really affect you. That’s according to me.”
