The mortality rate of Kenyan citizens has gone up with causes of death such as accidents, murder and natural circumstances still occurring. On the recent case is that of a 65 year-old man who allegedly passed away after being shocked, when his son threatened to shoot him dead with arrows.

According to the Daily Nation, panic has engulfed Enoretet, Transmara South after Julius Tumbes a 65 year-old man panicked to death. In reference to what the authorities stated, Mr Tumbes allegedly got in a disagreement with his 22 year-old son identified as Mathew Leshoo. However, the dispute took a different turn as Leshoo armed himself with a bow and five arrows in order to attack his father.

After seeing this the 65 year-old collapsed. Luckily members of the public managed to disarm the son and was arrested.

On arrival to Transmara Sub-county hospital in Kilgoris, the elderly man passed away. His body was transported to the St Joseph’s Mission Hospital mortuary.

The son is currently at the Enoosaen Police Station cells pending investigations.
