Yvonne okwara is one of the most respected media personalities in kenya, she is not only good at her job but also managed to shy off controversy in her long career.
Okwara was born on March 16, 1983, in Nairobi Kenya. She is an alumnus of kianda high school, she holds a Bsc in microbiology from the jomo kenyatta university of Agriculture and technology. She is a graduate of the bloomberg/ africa leadership initiative media fellowship.
The fact that different media houses in kenya scramble for her services speaks to her abilities as a news anchor, okwara has not only kept Kenyans informed but also grown to be a role model.
Okwara first job in media was at kbc, she was doing a children’s show. She was hired by radio station hot 96fm, she later joined that nation group through qfm,qtv. She was hired by the kenya television (ktn) and currently she works for citizen tv.
She was among the moderators at the presidential debate which was held on 26.7.2022 at the catholic university for eastern africa (cues) where the presidential candidates presented their thoughts on various topics trying to show what they have in store for the country once they assume the highest office in the country come August 9th 2022.
