Ommy’s predicament started earlier in the year and he suspected that he had been poisoned.
He told MillardAyo in a past interview:
“I was having trouble eating, the food would not go down my throat nor is water. The condition kept getting worse.”
Adding, “I went to the hospital and was told that I have throat cancer.”
Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho reached out to Dimpoz when the two attended Ali Kiba’s wedding early this year. And how did Joho get to hear of his troubling situation?
“During Ali Kiba’s wedding I was with Mombasa Governor, Hassan Joho and he asked what was ailing me.
Luckily he gave me the contact of some doctors he knows. I started my tests afresh.”
He then received news that he had eaten or drank something that had been poisoned causing complications in his throat.
When he went to South Africa, Dimpoz says they told him he had been poisoned.
