Jamaica’s legendary roots – reggae artist Jephter Mccymont popularly known as Luciano is coming to Kenya for peace concert slated for 11th of June .
Luciano will speak to the youths ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
According to George Gichobi, CEO of Musical Safaris Group, this is the right time to preach peace amongst the youth who are most vulnerable to be incited to engage in violence.
“Luciano has received recognition for his role in spreading peace and that’s what we need right now,” he noted.
Speaking soon after jetting into the country, the CEO George Gichobi promised a once in a lifetime experience.
“Luciano is a legend, a priest and messenger of the good word. This event will be about sensitizing the youth to shun violence especially now and embrace one another in unity.”
This came after concerned netizens questioned the legitimacy of the Ngong Race course venue which has been previously linked with matters of insecurity.
“We have invested heavily on quality and most importantly maximum security. There will be no room for monkey business,” he assured.
“Luciano is more than eager to interact with the youth and spread the message of love and spreading positive vibes.”
Besides a scheduled safari drive for which the reggae star expresses undying love for, the It’s me again jah hitmaker will have a series of motivational talks with various youth groups and speak positively about sharing love and shunning violence.
The reggae icon is set to perform at a Unite the Youth themed concert and says he cannot wait to get back to the country which he considers as his second home.
The event will take place at the Waterfront, Ngong Racecourse.
