The annual Nickelodeon awards ceremony will be going down April 13.
Lerai Rakoditse, who has been hosting NickMusic on Nickelodeon since 2021, has been announced as the first African to host the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
The 19 year old also made headlines when she was the first African to present on the channel last year.
For “Favourite African Kidfluencer” the nominees are, Nigerian-born teenage Nollywood actress, Adaeze Onuigbo; Masaka Kids Africana, a dance group from Uganda; Sassy Taylor Morrison from Newlands West; baby influencer, Sbahle Mzizi; teen sensation dancer, Uncle Vinny and South African famous Tiktoker, Whitney Ramabulana.
Onuigbo Adaeze is a teenage Nollywood actress and model who began her acting career when she was five. She’s also a model.
Mosaka Kids Africana is a group of orphaned children from Uganda.
Sassy Taylor Morrison is a lSouth African who’s famous for her youtube videos and Tiktoks..
South African kid influencer Sbahle Mzizi is also a YouTuber.
Uncle Vinny, real name Kabelo Vincent Ndlovu is an MTV VJ.
Witney Ramabulana is a South African Tiktoker, an actor and also models.
For “Favourite African Star“ the nominees are, music artist Folicalistic; music group Djs, Major League; Makhadzi; Nigerian superstar singer Tems and South African coach Pitso Mosimane.
The Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2022 will broadcast on NickToons (DStv Channel 308) on April 13 at 2.30pm.
