Businessman Jimal Rohosafi had a roller-coaster 2021. From a relative unknown to becoming one of the best most followed Kenyan men on Instagram.
The reason of course was his relationship and subsequent marriage to socialite Amber Ray. There antics along with that of Jimal’s first wife, Amira made them a regular feature among Kenyans on gossip columns and comments sections.
It was nicknamed the ‘Real Housewives of Syokimau’ with Jimal at the centre of beef between his two wive, who were coincidentally neighbours in the area.
That it would end badly wasn’t a shock for keen watchers. Jimal was not only dumped by Amira but by Amber in short order too.
The wealthy businessman was left holding the bag as the two women he had married had decided they were better without him.
Although Jimal looks like he has taken the double dumping in stride, he seems to have learnt some lessons from the experiences.
This week, the father of two announced that he would be staying single for the next 3 years as he focuses on his marriage.

Let’s not forget that Jimal once revealed in the past that he would even spend Ksh 50K a day on some of the women he dated.
So this new move is the right one according to me. He clearly has a problem with the way he does relationships.
He thinks spending a lot of money on his women is the only currency needed for a successful relationship, something he has learnt the hard way isn’t.
At the moment, the man is better spending his valuable energy on making money for his kids and extended family.
Also, that time away from the dating scene might give him not only perspective but probably more maturity in what he brings to a relationship.
Another thing, this decision keeps his name away from the blogs which normally have a lot of negative press with him in the role of villain.
Who knows the toll that news has on his business and future business endeavours?
NB-Dating and mating aren’t mutually exclusive. Jamal might say he has stopped dating but that doesn’t mean he has also stopped mating.
