City lawyer Karen Nyamu has proven that being pregnant is not a hindrance to one pursuing her dreams.
The mother of two is expecting her third born in February but has been hitting the campaign trail contesting for the Nairobi Senatorial seat.
Being heavily pregnant, one would wonder if Karen Nyamu is assured of safety in campaign trails that may be marred by violence.
Speaking to Mpasho, the Nairobi aspiring Senator said she is not worried while in the campaign trails as her security is assured.
“The youths are my security. If you see me somewhere just know that I have a group of over a hundred young people taking care of my security and they are on my payroll on that day. My way is always very clear as I walk to the podium and going to my car.”
Nyamu said if she is elected Senator, her main focus will be on young people.
“I will make sure the rights of the youth are observed and fight for them in all aspects,” she said.
The city lawyer also revealed that she joined William Ruto’s UDA, because it is an accommodative party.
“In UDA we feel safe that we can compete and support the one who will win the nominations unlike the others, which have predetermined candidates,” she said.
