Motivational speaker Sam West has asked Kenyans to normalize starting small adding that there is no shame in that.
Sam says sometimes people fail because of wanting to rush the process.
Speaking during an interview with Mpasho, Sam advised;
“I started doing stand up comedy in 2015. I pulled a few strings and I was able to get the British Council Hall for my first gig.
Someone had advised me against starting big, but I refused to listen to their advice. He told me to start at my home area and in a small space but I decided to do otherwise. The event flopped.”
Lesson learned?
“Whenever you are doing something start from where you are and allow yourself to grow. The biggest challenge with people is they do not look at things in a long term basis. The more consistent you are the more value you build.”
