Son of award-winning author Ngugi Wa Thiong’o, has come out to state that the dad is doing well and to disregard social media rumours of his death.
Mukoma Wa Thingo’o, who is also a prolific writer and academic, took to Twitter saying, “Just got off the phone with pops @NgugiWaThingo … and he is doing well. We shared a good laugh about his supposed demise. But good to see so many people caring.”
Mukoma then posted a photo showing himself and his father sharing a hearty laugh, with the caption, “Just found the perfect pic to go with the tweet ? But jokes aside thank you for the care.”
