Former Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has announced plans to host an online Christian Religious Education (CRE) revision session for candidates sitting the ongoing 2026 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.
Mosiria invited candidates to join him on Thursday evening, November 5, 2026, advising them to come prepared with their Bibles, with a particular focus on the Old Testament.
In a social media statement encouraging candidates to trust in their preparation rather than seeking illegal examination shortcuts, Mosiria emphasized that he possesses no illicit materials.
“Tupatane revision CRE paper kesho jioni na kila candidate abebe Bible old testament! Mimi sina leakage niko na imani mtapita tu, bora ujiamini na uweke mungu mbele!” Mosiria posted.
Echoing Babu Owino’s Academic Outreaches
Mosiria’s move closely follows a similar initiative by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, who recently revived his popular free national examination revision classes. On October 23, Babu hosted an online session covering KCSE Mathematics Papers 1 and 2 to help students tackle complex numerical topics.
Babu originally launched his virtual lessons in 2020 during the COVID-19 school disruptions, periodically bringing them back during exam seasons to support candidates across the country.
Academic Support or Pre-2027 Political Rivalry?
While Mosiria’s session adds CRE to the list of subjects receiving public attention from political figures during the national exam period, observers note a potential political undertone to the announcement.
With both Mosiria and Babu Owino expected to compete for the same parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2027 General Election, the move is widely viewed as part of an ongoing battle for public influence and visibility among young voters and families.
