American rapper Nicki Minaj has reacted to the outcome of the US midterm elections, sending a pointed message to Democrats while insisting that Donald Trump remains president despite the party’s victory in both chambers of Congress.
Democrats won control of the House of Representatives and Senate in the November 3 elections, dealing a major setback to Trump’s Republican Party. The results marked a shift in control of Congress, although Trump remains in the White House.
In a lengthy post shared on Thursday, November 5, 2026, Minaj listed several points, repeatedly using the word “STILL” to emphasise her message to critics.
“Couple of things: 1. Trump is STILL your PRESIDENT. 2. The QUEEN is STILL your OBSESSION. 3. Jesus is STILL LORD. 4. Great insight by the VICE PRESIDENT. 5. Knowledge is POWER. 6. Congratulations to all winners! Especially @RepLuna && @ByronDonalds,” she wrote.
The rapper also criticised the money spent on the campaign, suggesting that the involvement of celebrities had not helped the losing side.
“7. Blowing a billion on a losing campaign full of celebrities is STILL hurting them. 8. The BARBZ are STILL PRETTY!!! 9. I don’t vote, I VETO. 10. Stay tuned & STAY MAD. 11. Christians are STILL being killed. 12. Maybe now our people will WAKE UP. 13. Love you 🇺🇸,” she added.
Minaj also took a swipe at social media users who continued discussing the election on X, formerly Twitter, which is owned by billionaire Elon Musk.
“Last thing: 14. Elon is STILL a trillionaire, and you are STILL posting on his app. I’m sure the shareholders appreciate the dialogue,” she stated.
Nicki Minaj praises Grok AI
The rapper also praised Grok, the artificial intelligence chatbot developed by Musk’s xAI, saying it had made a positive difference in her life.
“15. #GrokBot is a phenomenal product that has significantly changed my life for the better. Thank you,” she wrote.
Her remarks came as Democrats celebrated their gains in Congress, while Republicans faced questions over the losses and what they could mean for Trump’s legislative agenda.
Despite the change in congressional control, Trump remains president, a point Minaj placed at the centre of her message.
