“Kwenda Wantam, hatutaki kuambiwa!” DRAMA ERUPTS IN EMBU as Governor Cecily Mbarire, who is also the UDA Party Chairperson, is heckled by residents and forced to leave the podium.

Drama in Embu County after Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire who is also the UDA Party National Chairperson was badly heckled by angry residents and forced to leave the podium.

According to reports, Governor Mbarire had taken to the podium to address residents during a public function in Embu, but residents started shouting “Kwenda Wantam, hatutaki kuambiwa!” forcing her to cut her speech short.

The crowd could be heard shouting “Wantam” slogan loudly, interrupting Governor Mbarire as she tried to defend UDA government. The residents said they don’t want to be told anything, they want President Ruto to go home in 2027.

Mbarire who is also UDA Chairperson tried to calm down the crowd but the heckling became more intense, forcing her to leave the podium under tight security.

The incident is the latest in a series of heckling incidents targeting UDA leaders across the country, as Kenyans express anger over high cost of living, high taxation and unfulfilled promises by Ruto administration.

Residents chanted “Wantam” which has become a popular slogan among Kenyans who want President William Ruto to serve only one term and leave State House in 2027.

The Embu incident shows that even UDA Chairperson herself is facing rejection in her own backyard, with residents openly telling her “hatutaki kuambiwa” meaning they don’t want lectures from UDA leaders anymore.

Videos circulating online show Mbarire being forced to leave the podium as residents continued chanting Wantam, with some blowing whistles and waving placards.
