A Kenyan TikToker has drawn a mixed reaction online after sharing how a white woman who walked into her salon as an ordinary client became her wife.
The content creator posted a series of images documenting their love story, topped by a wedding photo captioned “my client is now my wifey,” followed by four red heart emojis.
In the picture, she wears a white off-the-shoulder ruffled gown while her wife is in a dark suit jacket, the two embracing on a balcony against a coastal backdrop.
The first photo in the series shows the hairdresser braiding her future wife’s hair outdoors under a wooden gazebo, with the client seated and smiling as her cornrows are done.
According to the creator, the woman later returned for another appointment and invited her out for dinner. Sharing a photo of herself at a restaurant with a glass in hand, she wrote that she could not say no to the invitation.
Another image shows a sweaty selfie taken in the middle of a full-body scrub session. The creator said her client popped in for a photo while she was scrubbing the woman’s mother, and she smiled alongside her despite looking visibly flushed.
The post drew a flood of reactions from Kenyans who were divided over how to respond. One user, @joylemayian, asked how it was possible, saying she could only see two beautiful ladies.
