Kenyan journalists were treated to a lavish end of year party.
The annual Scribes End of Year Party took place this weekend in Kajiado.
The outdoor event brought together hundreds of journalists in Print, Online and Broadcast media and those practicing Public Relations.
This year’s event was sponsored by Amnesty International and Media Council of Kenya among others.
This year’s Scribes End of Year Party theme was Protection of Journalists for a Peaceful Election.
Chief Guest Amnesty International Kenya Executive Director Irũngũ Houghton, addressed the scribes through a video message, maintaining that the media plays a critical role in any democratic elections.
The party which started Saturday afternoon went all the way to the wee hours of Sunday morning, with journalists enjoying Nyama Choma and dancing their souls out.
