KDF Veteran

A man claiming to be a security service veteran has attracted attention after declaring that he is not afraid of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), saying he previously served in matters related to national security.

In a video circulating online, the man speaks confidently about his identity, insisting that his past service is something he remains proud of. He explains that wearing military combat clothing brings happiness to his children, who get to see their father dressed in the uniform associated with his former service.

“Mimi ni KDF veterans,” he says, explaining that he is a veteran and that his children enjoy seeing him dressed that way. He adds that he considers it his right to wear the clothing because he wants his children to know that their father once served in the military.

The man also claims that police officers sometimes ask him for bribes when they find him wearing KDF combat clothing. However, the circumstances surrounding the alleged incidents are not independently established in the video.

His remarks have also drawn attention to his strong words about the DCI. He maintains that he is not intimidated by the investigative agency, presenting his past service in matters of security as part of the reason for his confidence.

The video has raised questions about former security officers wearing military-style clothing in public and how their past service influences their identity after leaving active duty.

It remains unclear from the video whether the man is a formally recognised KDF veteran or whether the clothing he wears is officially authorised for his current use. His claims about encounters with police officers have also not been independently verified.
