Pharo Chivayo, the younger brother of Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo, was spotted at the family’s Borrowdale mansion as mourners gathered to pay their final respects.

Pharo attracted attention after being photographed standing beside his white Rolls-Royce Ghost outside the family home. He was dressed in a cream-coloured luxury outfit comprising a jacket, matching trousers and white sneakers, while a close aide stood nearby.

Behind him was a large blue banner bearing the message “Rest In Peace Mrs Chivayo”, highlighting the solemn nature of the occasion.

Despite the attention drawn by his luxury vehicle, Pharo appeared focused on supporting the family and managing activities outside the mansion. Reports indicated that he helped direct visitors, coordinate vehicles and welcome mourners arriving to pay their respects.

The Chivayo family has remained in the public eye following the deaths of Wicknell Chivayo and his wife, Lucy “Lulu” Muteke, who died in a helicopter crash near Harare. Their deaths have triggered widespread mourning across Zimbabwe and beyond.

The family’s association with luxury cars was also visible during the funeral proceedings, with several Rolls-Royces featuring prominently in the procession. Another of Wicknell’s brothers, known as G6 or GSIX, was also seen arriving at the family mansion in a blue Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

For many mourners, however, the vehicles were secondary to the family’s grief and their efforts to honour their loved ones while observing traditional funeral customs.
