Karangu Muraya, a gospel singer and philanthropist, has reminisced on a difficult chapter in his life after losing his home during the Saika demolitions, claiming that he eventually found “restoration.”

Karangu posted the statement on Facebook on Monday, October 5, 2026, alongside photos of his spectacular three-story residence. The message let his followers see how far he had come since the horrible incident.

The musician spoke about the pain he experienced during the Saika demolitions, which impacted people and property owners whose buildings were built along high voltage power line wayleaves in the districts surrounding Saika Estate and Mama Lucy Hospital in Embakasi.

“After Saika Demolition and the trauma that I went through that period, one day God came through for me and restored everything that was lost,” Karangu stated in a Facebook post. Years later, the singer now lives in a very different environment.

His residence has a modern grey facade with white embellishments, reflective glass panes, and a maroon.The expansive residence also features a large floor-to-ceiling window that extends to the second level, giving it a modern appearance. Its compound is surrounded by a perimeter wall equipped with electric fence.
