MRS C

A video showing the late Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo surprising his wife, Lucy “Lulu” Muteke, with a Lamborghini has resurfaced online following the couple’s death in a helicopter crash.

The footage captures a much happier moment in the couple’s life, with Lulu appearing visibly surprised when she discovered the luxury car waiting for her at a dealership showroom.

In the video, a voice asks Lulu whether she knew about the surprise. She responds with excitement as she realises that Chivayo had brought her to the showroom to receive the expensive gift.

The vehicle reportedly came with a personalised number plate bearing the words “MRS C”, adding a personal touch to the lavish surprise. The video was originally shared before the couple’s deaths but attracted renewed attention after news of their fatal crash spread.

Chivayo and Lulu were among six people who died when a helicopter crashed in the Marondera Rural area of Zimbabwe on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Zimbabwean authorities confirmed that there were no survivors.

The crash occurred at about 5pm local time, with the aircraft going down in the Marondera area, east of Harare. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are underway, while authorities have been working to formally identify the victims.

Chivayo was widely known for his high-profile lifestyle and frequent displays of luxury cars, private aircraft and other expensive possessions. His public profile also extended beyond Zimbabwe, with his business activities and relationships with prominent figures attracting attention across the region.

The resurfaced Lamborghini video has therefore taken on a different meaning for viewers. What was initially a recording of a husband celebrating his wife with an expensive gift is now being viewed as part of the couple’s final collection of publicly shared memories.

Social media users reacted emotionally as the footage circulated again, with many focusing on the happiness displayed by the couple before their deaths.

Comments included messages of condolence and reflections on the couple’s lifestyle. One viewer wrote that they “enjoyed life and lived each day as if it were their last”, while others simply expressed sadness and wished the couple eternal rest.

The Lamborghini footage is among several older videos of Chivayo and Lulu that have resurfaced since the crash, including clips showing the businessman travelling by helicopter and moments from their private life.

For those who followed Chivayo’s public life, the videos now provide a record of moments that were originally shared as celebrations but have become poignant reminders of the couple after their sudden deaths.
