Oketch Salah has shared a glimpse of a memorable outing with Mama Ida Odinga and other family members during their time in New York.
Salah, who has previously spoken publicly about his relationship with the late Raila Odinga, took to social media to share photos from the gathering.
The outing brought together several members of the extended family, with Salah appearing alongside his children while Mama Ida was accompanied by her granddaughter Saphie and personal assistant Shirley.
The group spent time exploring some of New York’s popular attractions before heading to Hudson Yards, where they later enjoyed dinner together.
Among those present was Min Piny Nyamera from Migori County, who also joined the group for the evening.
Salah appeared to enjoy the relaxed family setting and described the occasion as a special moment filled with laughter, conversations and togetherness.
He also shared photos showing some of the moments captured during their time together, giving his followers a glimpse into the outing.
The appearance comes amid public interest in Salah’s relationship with the Odinga family. Salah has on several occasions referred to himself as Raila’s adopted son and has spoken warmly about his connection with the former prime minister.
However, some members of Raila’s family have previously offered different accounts concerning Salah’s relationship with their late father.
Despite the attention surrounding the issue, Salah and Mama Ida were seen spending time together during the New York outing.
Mama Ida is currently in the United States, where she has been involved in activities around the United Nations General Assembly.
Salah has also recently shared moments from his travels with his children.
On September 19, he attended a Premier League match in England with his firstborn son Abdinoor and third born daughter Noora.
The family moments abroad have given Salah an opportunity to document his travels and time spent with his children and people close to him.
