Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has shared a humorous encounter he says he had with a female worker while travelling to the United Arab Emirates for a business trip.
In a post, Salasya said he was seated next to the woman on the plane when she told him she was idle and offered to spend about three hours doing his hair before they reached Abu Dhabi.
According to Salasya, the woman told him that by the time they arrived, he would be looking good as she rested during the journey.
Salasya said he accepted the idea and later woke up to find his appearance had changed, joking that he could not return to Kenya looking the way he did.
He compared his new hairstyle humorously to footballers Didier Drogba and Michael Olise, describing himself as “Drogba mwitu” and “Sande Olise mwitu.”
The light-hearted post came as Salasya travelled to the UAE for what he described as a business trip focused on seeking investors.
The MP said he was heading to the UAE to engage potential investors interested in opportunities in Mumias East, ranging from talent and indigenous vegetables to technology.
His remarks combined humour about his unexpected hairstyle with his stated plans to seek investment opportunities for his constituency during the trip.
