ODM leader and veteran politician Oburu Oginga was spotted taking a relaxed evening walk through the streets of London, accompanied by his son Elijah Oginga and two members of his close team.

The quiet outing brought together Oburu, his son Elijah, his aide-de-camp Peter and his Chief of Staff Michael Agwanda as they walked through the British capital, away from the intensity of Kenya’s political arena.

Images from the evening walk showed the group moving casually along the streets of London, presenting a more relaxed side of the veteran politician.

Oburu, who has remained an influential figure in Kenyan politics, appeared to be enjoying the moment in the company of people within his close circle.

The presence of his son Elijah also attracted attention, with the outing highlighting the close relationship between the two.

Elijah has increasingly been seen accompanying his father during public and private engagements, keeping him close to the family and political environment surrounding the veteran politician.

Oburu is the elder brother of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and has remained an important figure in Kenya’s political landscape.

His long career has seen him serve in Parliament and participate prominently in political discussions involving the opposition and the wider Luo political community.

His evening walk in London comes at a time when Kenyan politics remains highly active as political leaders position themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Oburu has previously been vocal on political developments in the country, particularly issues surrounding the opposition, ODM and the political legacy associated with his late brother.

However, the London outing appeared to be less about politics and more about taking time away from the demanding public spotlight.

Walking alongside Oburu were Peter, identified as his ADC, and Michael Agwanda, his Chief of Staff.

Their presence reflected the close-knit team that continues to accompany the veteran politician during his engagements.

The simple evening stroll has nevertheless generated interest among political observers and members of the public, particularly because Oburu remains a prominent personality whose movements and political activities often attract attention.

For the veteran politician, the London streets provided an opportunity to enjoy a quieter moment with his son and trusted aides.

As Kenya’s political temperature continues to rise ahead of 2027, moments such as this offer a glimpse into the personal side of politicians who spend much of their time navigating intense public and political pressure.
