Political tensions within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has taken a dramatic turn in Migori County after organizers abruptly switched off Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma’s microphone while he was addressing a public gathering.
The fiery lawmaker has launched a direct attack against Siaya Governor James Orengo and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, cautioning them against dragging the Nyanza region back into hardline opposition politics.
Kaluma has firmly insisted that while individual leaders have reserved the right to remain in the opposition, they must not attempt to lure the Nyanza electorate away from the current broad-based government arrangement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
