Siaya Senator and ODM leader Oburu Oginga has moved to reassure Kenyans about his health after reports emerged that he had been admitted to hospital.
Oburu said his visit to the hospital was only for a brief general check-up with his doctors and that he had already returned home. He dismissed concerns over his health, saying there was no reason for the public to be alarmed.
The veteran politician said falling ill is a normal part of human life and maintained that he would personally inform Kenyans if he were suffering from a serious illness. Oburu described himself as a transparent person, insisting that he would not hide such information from the public.
His remarks come after reports earlier suggested that he had been hospitalised and that his family was considering specialised treatment overseas.
