Kevin Kimwatu, the husband of late KCB senior executive Rosemary Chemutai, has made a fresh request following the family dispute that emerged over his wife’s burial.Kimwatu, through his lawyer, told the court that he does not intend to seek the exhumation of Chemutai’s body and has instead chosen to withdraw the case he had filed against his in-laws.
The development marks a new phase in the dispute, with the widower now seeking a peaceful way to deal with the loss of his wife.
According to his legal representative, Kimwatu has requested to be allowed to visit Chemutai’s gravesite together with their children and other members of his family.
He wishes to have the visit scheduled on a day that is suitable for the entire family. This request follows Kimwatu’s assertion that he was unable to properly grieve for his wife after her burial.
Despite these circumstances, he has chosen not to take legal action regarding the situation.
His attorney informed the court that Kimwatu has decided to leave the matters related to the burial in God’s hands instead of continuing the conflict.
He has also stated that he will not take any steps for contempt due to the disagreement.
