Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has launched a fierce and unyielding defense of his tenure, declaring that any attempts to oust him from the country’s second-highest office are flatly “impossible”.
Speaking during an engagement with United Democratic Alliance (UDA) grassroots officials in Tharaka Nithi County, Kindiki drew sharp parallels to the intense political survival battles faced by President William Ruto during his tenure as deputy under the previous administration.
Dismissing his critics and political detractors, Kindiki asserted that high-stakes office security is anchored on institutional resilience and steadfast loyalty, contrasting his position with leaders who fall short under pressure.
“Wale waliofukuzwa ni watu kidogo kidogo. Deputy President unafukuzwa Kenya ukiwa wapi? It’s impossible,” Kindiki stated, emphasizing that unseating a sitting occupant of the office is out of the question.
The bold remarks come on the heels of intensified political realignments and growing speculation surrounding coalition dynamics ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Having consolidated strong regional backing—including endorsements from major councils of elders across Mt. Kenya—Kindiki made it clear that the deputy presidential seat is fully occupied and not up for negotiation.
As political circles buzz with reactions to the uncompromising stance, Kindiki’s fiery declaration serves as a clear warning to rival camps that the ruling establishment’s leadership core remains tightly locked and ready to fiercely defend its ground as the electoral clock ticks down.
