Tanzanian singer Zuhura Othman, popularly known as Zuchu, has revealed that she delivered her newborn daughter via a C-section rather than natural delivery due to medical complications.
Responding to a fan on Snapchat on Sunday, August 16, 2026, who asked why she opted for a C-section despite her extensive pre-birth workout routine, the “Sukari” hitmaker explained that doctors advised against a natural birth after discovering the baby was entangled in the umbilical cord.
“My daughter was trapped by the umbilical cord. Ilimzunguka, so we had no choice,” Zuchu shared.
Unfiltered Pregnancy Mood Swings
Addressing another query from a fan regarding her pregnancy journey, Zuchu candidly discussed experiencing intense mood swings toward her husband, Bongo Flava star Diamond Platnumz.
She admitted to developing strong, inexplicable dislikes toward him during her nine-month pregnancy, even recalling moments where she felt the urge to hit him for no apparent reason: “I hated him, yaani nilikuwa simpendi hapo kama nimtie kofi.”
Welcoming Their Baby Girl
Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz officially announced the birth of their first child together, a baby girl, on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Taking to Instagram, Diamond welcomed the newborn as a “precious little angel,” while Zuchu posted a brief tribute describing the baby as “My whole world.”
The birth followed a lavish pink-themed baby shower attended by close family and friends, during which Diamond presented Zuchu with a cash gift of Ksh3.87 million as a token of appreciation for carrying their child.
