Four suspects are now in custody as detectives intensify investigations into the murder of clinical psychologist Dr. Victoria Mutiso, with the latest two suspects appearing before the Mavoko Law Courts on Monday.

Among those presented in court were Angela Mulwa, daughter of Professor David Ndetei, and Nelson Masiga Makaralu, identified by investigators as the suspected gunman. Prosecutors have requested detention to allow more time for investigations into the fatal shooting.

Angela’s court appearance came hours after another court ordered her mother, Rose Mbithe Mulwa, and brother, Chris Mulwa, to remain in custody for 21 days.

Investigators informed the court that luxury vehicles recovered from an affluent Nairobi neighbourhood are allegedly linked to Angela. The vehicles will undergo forensic examination. Two of the vehicles belonged to the late Dr. Mutiso, while the remaining two were owned by Professor Ndetei.

Detectives are also investigating Angela over separate allegations of land fraud in Athi River.

All allegations remain untested in court. The accused persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty, and no convictions have been made against any of the suspects as investigations continue.
